- 5 / 5By Constance CommentsWe stopped in late at night on a Saturday. We were the only folks there at that time and were treated like royalty. It's true that some of the food didn't look or taste like Southern California "Mexican" food, and we were pleased that the owner took care to explain the recipes. He gave us a choice, for instance, between the common enchilada and the recipe his grandmother used. While we ate, the musician played guitar softly in the background, and the music was beautiful indeed. By the time we left we felt like family. Granted, it was difficult to find the restaurant: The entry comes up quickly, and you must follow signs even after you've left the main highway -- but it was well worth the momentary confusion.July 24, 2016
